Q. How long do I leave the peel on my skin before washing it off?
A. It is recommended for optimum results that you leave the peel on the skin for 6-8 hours, but in some cases it can remain longer as directed by your provider.
Q. What should I expect during the first 24-48 hours?
A. Your skin my experience mild to moderate redness, itching, inflammation, tightness and warmth similar to a sunburn.
Q. What should I expect during the next 3-7 Days?
A. Mild to aggressive amount of peeling based on the strength of the peel. This is the skin beginning its transformation and/or renewal process. Peeling significance varies from person to person also depending on lifestyle. Skin will appear brighter, tighter in about 7 days. Extra moisturizer may be required for extra hydration of the skin. Some sun damage may appear to 'shed' away. The shedding may or may not require camouflage with make-up also depending on lifestyle.
Q. How often can I get a peel?
A. A series of 3 peels at 4 to 6 week intervals may be necessary to achieve optimum results and varies depending on type/significance of skin damage and improvements expected. Your practitioner will determine the frequency based on your skincare needs.
