What should you expect after the treatment?

For your comfort, we have a post laser skin care package available for purchase.  This package consists of Soothing Post Laser Gel, gentle Anti-bacterial Enzyme Cleanser, and protective Solar Facial Moisturizer SPF 30.

Immediately after the treatment, the treated area will be red.  This may last 3-5 days and is a normal reaction to the treatment. A prescription may be given to maintain comfort level. Please follow the below instructions on how to care for your skin following the MicroLaserPeel.

☼ It is very important to avoid exposing the treated area to sunshine for at least 2 weeks after the treatment.  During this time period it is essential to use sunscreen with a Sun Protection Factor of SPF 30.

  • You may experience a burning sensation on the treated area for the first 24-48 hours following the treatment.  This is easily relieved with the Post Laser Gel (be sure to thoroughly clean hands prior to application.)  You may also soak you face with cool to cold water and a clean wash clothe or you may use a clothe covered ice pack to relieve the treated area.  Use a gentle cleanser (Anti-Bacterial Enzyme Cleanser) to wash your face 2-3 times a day using your hands in a circular motion.
  • The first 2-3 days you will be very red and may even look blotchy and/or streaky in places.  Apply Post Laser Gel or Vaseline is also okay, 4-5 times daily during this time period.
  • On about the 3rd day you will start to peel.  It is important to keep you skin well moisturized throughout the recovery period.  Make-up will cover any redness at this point.
