ProFractional Laser for Wrinkles and Scars
This treatment provides results for fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and mouth and scarring. ProFractional delivers heat into the dermal layer of the skin to stimulate new collagen and elastin formulation. This restores the youthful appearance of your skin. After one treatment, you will begin to see your fine lines, wrinkles and scars fill in with new tissue for up to 3 months after the initial treatment. Typically, there is no down time with this treatment, but you may expect some bruising or swelling in the treated areas for up to 48 hours after the session. Stonger sessions may require 3-5 days of "hiding out".

What Can I Expect With The Procedure? |

You will experience swelling 48 hours after the session. There is temporary mild pinpoint bleeding during and after the treatment, and some tiny bruising may occur. This can be easily covered with foundation a day after the treatment. Most patients describe the laser as feeling like tiny heat picks during the session. | |

How long is the healing process? |

Healing takes 48 hours. The procedure can be preformed on a Thursday or Friday, so you can return to work the following Monday. Symptoms immediately following the procedure resemble a bee sting, with minor rough patches on the skin for a few days. Redness will begin to fade usually by the third day and can be easily covered by makeup on the fourth day. However, healing also depends on depth, the deeper the treatment the longer the healing time. | |
